The Alberta Basketball Officials Association is saddened at the loss of Rick Cescon, who passed away Wednesday after a lengthy illness. Rick was a member of the Calgary Basketball Officials Association for over twenty years, working most of it at the ACAC level. He was an outstanding referee who officiated numerous City, Provincial, and National Championship tournaments. Rick also gave back to his colleagues, serving as an active mentor to developing officials. The ABOA shares its condolences to the Cescon family, as well as the basketball community in Calgary.
